Problem solving skills are best developed through exploration and play. S.T.E.A.M. activities give students a chance to use scientific methods, technology, engineering and design, art, and mathematics to create, solve problems, and think creatively in the context of engaging, playful activities. 

At Orchard School, teachers use a variety of materials to teach S.T.E.A.M. from traditional art supplies to recyclable materials, household items and things from nature, computers and microcontrollers, and even 3-D printers.
